Corsham is a pretty and historic town of architectural significance located on the southern fringes of the Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty and some 8 miles North East of the fine Georgian City of Bath. The town, noted for its fine High Street, has a wealth of beautiful and historic buildings dating from the 16th Century such as the Alms House and the historic Corsham Court with its landscaped open parkland. The town caters for most day to day needs with a range of national and bespoke shops, coffee houses, boutiques, restaurants and a variety of public houses. There are very good Primary and Secondary schools and the new Corsham Leisure Centre. Communications are excellent: Bath, Bristol and Swindon are all within easy motoring distance. There are fast road links to London and the West Country via the M4 motorway (J17 and 18 approximately 15 - 20 minutes away); and main line rail services are available from either Bath or Chippenham to Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington.

First floor    


With part clad wood walls, fantastic and imposing ceiling beams looking into the roof void, Oak flooring ????and a door to bedroom two. A further small flight of stairs leads to the main bedroom and bathroom. The current owner has made a novel flight of steps which double as a bookshelf and gives access to the loft which is on a slightly higher level than the landing itself.

Bedroom one    

This majestic room has a wealth of timer cladding and solid A framed roof trusses, during the restoration a section of the old Wattle and Daub plaster was left in situ. As this used to form part of the Hayloft and thus open to the elements there are restored Dovecotes either side of the room, another majestic feature. In addition there is an oval window with secondary glazing to the side and a double glazed sash window to the side again with secondary glazing and a radiator. Part of the wall is laid to wood cladding. Under the carpet is pine flooring.

Bedroom two    

Dual aspect windows to the front and side, attractive exposed ceiling beams, ceiling spot lights, radiator, Bath stone feature fireplace and Pine flooring.


Ceiling spot lights and an attractive white suite which includes a panelled bath, close coupled W.C and pedestal sink. The walls are part tiled with small multi coloured mosaic tiles and there is tiled flooring. A small cupboard to the end provides useful storage space as well as a floor mounted pine cupboard.

Loft room    

Accessed from the landing there is a sky light to the rear, a wall mounted combination boiler and attractive roof beams and trusses. There is addition a large amount of built in storage.


Rear garden    

Enclosed by a pretty stone wall the garden is laid to an attractive circular patio and block paving forming a pathway. There are also raised stone borders perfect for flowers and shrubs. This garden has sun throughout the day.

Side courtyard    

Enclosed by a stone wall and with access to the road through a solid Oak gate and with access to the rear garden.


There is ample parking for two cars behind a set of large double gates. This area is enclosed by a stone wall and laid to stone chippings. A small gate leads to the garden itself. There is an electric charging point for a car in the shed and a further outside electric point.
